We learned in my world history class that "ring around the rosies" was written during the bobonic plague(sp). I was told that there was a really bad disease going around and everyone was dying. People would put posies in there pockets (pocket full of posies) thinking that the posies would keep the plague away from them. Kind like people use garlic in their pockets for vanpires. Anyways, so many people were dying and dying way to fast that the only way they had to get rid of the bodies was to burn them (ashes Ashes). In the end almost everyone died from this (we all fall down). Wether this is true or not, I dunno. But I'm assuming that since my history teacher told it to me that its true?
