The history of nursery rhymes dates back centuries to a time when writing was for the highly educated. Most were passed by word of mouth. "Ring Around the Rosie" is about the black plaque. A ring indicated you had the plaque and the posies were put in the pocket to smell when walking down the street. Ashes Ashes we all fall down means people died and were burnt to stop the disease. When i am finished with my speech i can mail it to you so you can use it.
