Whoever was "it" would have a button held between their palms. Other players would sit in a circle with their palms pressed together and outstretched. Whoever was it, would go around the circle passing their hands hands (palms pressed together with the button held between them)over the hands of everyone in the circle. While doing this, they would secretly drop the button into the hands of one of the players. The object was then to guess who had the button. The players would take turns saying "Button, button, whose got the button?" then guess who they thought had the button. Of course everyone had to keep their hands together and not let other players know they didn't have the button. When the button holder was identified, they became "it" and another round was played Followups:
