We have had a discussion in our family about the rhyme, "What are Little Boys Made of?" On the Internet, we have found the rhyme to say both "snips, and snails, and puppy dog tales," and "snaps, and snails, and puppy dog tales." Our questions are--which is correct, "snips" or "snaps," and what are "snips" and what are "snaps" in this context? Thank you in advance for your reply.
