Ring around the rosie was about ppl with the plague, or chlolora, i think it was, and they would get rings around the red (rosy) sores that they would get from this disiese, and the sores would smell bad, so they woud put flowers (posies) in their pockets to smell better. also, the achoo, achoo we all fall down part came from the fact that the diseise was very contaigus. some say ashes, ashes, we all fall down, and that may have come from the fact that ppl back then liked cremating people who were dead.
