Some claim the original "Curly locks" MAY have been a reference to Charles II, though there is no documentation. First documented appearance actually was as "Pussy cat, Pussy cat, Wilt thou be mine?" in Infant Institutes, 1797.
If you have anything longer than eight lines (which you infer), you may have a later parody version.
