- DEAR Day - Drop Everything And Read (any day you chose)
- Forgotten Book Week (any week you want!) Displayed books seldom taken out anymore and encouraged children to sign them out.
- Preservation Awareness Week "The Life Of A Book: It's In Your Hands" (any week you want!) Preservation Awareness Week is an idea from Lorraine Olley at Indiana University-Bloomington Libraries including:
- Bring your worn and damaged books to the Book Clinic for advice on care and repair.
- Standing exhibits, demonstrations on conservation and preservation by the members of the IUL Preservation Dept.
- An assortment of videos that ran continuously Monday through Friday all day long.

- Diffendoofer Day (any day will do!) Celebrate with Dr Suess and Friends with plenty of ideas and things to do.
